How noisy is your home?

Do you ever think about how noisy your home really is?

With an increase in electrical appliances in our homes, it can be hard to escape the noise inferno. The kitchen will most typically be the most noisy room in the house, and with the increase in popularity for open space living enclosures where the kitchen is combined with the living room, it is now even harder to escape.

Electrical machines like a dishwasher, vacuum and fridge can generate quite a bit of noise for prolonged periods.

So what is the solution?

The fastest solution is to replace the noisy appliances, however getting your hands on the information on how much noise the electrical appliance is emitting can be hard to obtain before purchase. Opting for the ‘silent’ product-version may just be a marketing gimmick.
Also replacing every appliance in your home may not be the most Eco-friendly solution.

Another option may be to try and regulate the room’s acoustics and lower the reverberation time by placing sound absorption panels and mitigating unwanted reflections.
