Facades – When designing for optimal noise reduction and sufficient acoustic quality, remember to look for the weakest link in facades. Especially if the facade is towards a noisy Road.
The weakest link, typically being the windows, will very often dictate the resulting Sound reduction of the whole facade. So trying to improve the strongest link if typically wasted energy, instead focus on improving the weakest link.
